Empowering Young Artists in Surrey
We are the Youth Arts Council of Surrey (YACOS), based in Surrey, BC, and located at the Newton Cultural Centre. We are dedicated to fostering equity, diversity, and inclusion in the arts. Our mission is to connect young creators aged 13–25 with local opportunities through exhibitions, events, and collaborative projects.
We work closely with the Arts Council of Surrey, who support us with space at the Newton Cultural Centre, resources, and guidance for youth arts programming.

Our home is at the Newton Cultural Centre, a vibrant hub in the heart of Surrey where artists across Surrey gather to build community. Step inside and you will find a gallery, theatre, and classrooms to make your artistic visions come to life.
