Youth Events
All events hosted by the Youth Arts Council of Surrey are created and run by youth, for youth. Anyone ages 13–25 is welcome to participate.
Some events give you the chance to help shape the experience, like contributing to art shows, performances, or creative projects. Others are more casual, where you can simply show up and enjoy the event with other youth.

Write On Contest 2026
Share your voice in our annual Write On Contest! We invite Surrey youth to submit an original piece of writing for a chance to showcase their creativity and be recognized for their talent.
Every participant will receive a Certificate of Achievement. Three winners will receive literary prizes, and selected entries will be published in our Spotlight Magazine.

Culture Crawl Youth Hub
This fall, YACOS will be hosting a Youth Art Hub as part of the 2026 Culture Crawl on from 12:00 -5:00 PM October 3-4, 2026, at Beecher Place (12160 Beecher St, Surrey).
The Youth Art Hub will feature a pop-up art exhibition, hands-on art-making activities, and live music. We encourage YACOS members to come volunteer and make the Youth Hub a reality!
