About Us
The Youth Arts Council of Surrey (YACOS) is a non-profit organization that has supported young artists in Surrey, BC since 2004. We create free art events and opportunities for youth ages 13–25, helping them build creative skills, gain experience, and connect with other artists.
We offer two membership options based on age:
YACOS Junior | Ages 13–17
Focused on exploring creativity, building skills, and connecting with other young artists.
YACOS Senior | Ages 18–25
Focused on developing creative and professional skills, gaining arts experience, and taking on leadership opportunities within YACOS.
The Youth Arts Council of Surrey works closely with the Arts Council of Surrey, who support us with space at the Newton Cultural Centre, resources, and guidance for youth arts programming.
