About Us
The Youth Arts Council of Surrey (YACOS) is a non-profit organization founded in 2004 with a mission to support young artists in Surrey, BC, while promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion in the arts. We connect youth ages 13–25 with local arts opportunities and provide a platform to showcase emerging talent.
Throughout the year, we host free art events, offer exhibition opportunities, and community collaborations that help youth develop their creative skills and professional networks.
The Youth Arts Council of Surrey works closely with the Arts Council of Surrey, who support us with space at the Newton Cultural Centre, resources, and guidance for youth arts programming.
